Reused Yukata is selling in the Temporary store in Mont Kiara.en
Last week, we helped Shimada Kimono Sanpo, a store in Shimada, Shizuoka, set up a temporary store in Malaysia.
The owner, Ms.Ozawa, runs a store that collects kimonos and yukatas that are no longer in use from all over Japan, remakes them, and sells them.

It was the Ms.Osawa store’s first overseas expansion, so we helped them put on yukatas and sell them to local people in the tatami-floored space of Gannendo in Mont Kiara.
Malaysia is a pro-Japanese country in Southeast Asia, and there are a fair number of Japanese products on the market, from low-quality to high-quality. Even in such a situation, Shimada Kimono Sanpo’s authentic yukatas, which incorporate the Japanese sentiment of “reusing usable things,” resonated very well with local people.
We hope to continue helping to spread the nice culture of Japan to the world.
